News is out that Paramount Pictures will be rolling out its next "Transformers" films annually for three consecutive years starting 2017.

With the development, the "Transformers" franchise then pits the Autobots not only against the Decepticons but also against "Wonder Woman" and "Godzilla."

Geek reported about the news claiming that "Transformers 5," "Transformers 6" and "Transformers 7" will be released on June 23, 2017; June 8, 2018 and June 28, 2019, respectively.

"There will be one new 'Transformers' movie every year for the next three years beginning in 2017," a CNET article said.

However, while Michael Bay did say he would be back to direct "Transformers 5," it would allegedly be his last time at the helm.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Michael Bay confirmed news that he would direct "Transformers 5" for the last time with the film franchise.

"Transformers, I still have a great time. It's fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see. But this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else," he said.

Geek, meanwhile, confirmed the return of Mark Wahlberg to the film franchise, a continuity that began with the previous film, "Age of Extinction."

Reportedly, the next "Transformers" film post-Michael Bay would tell the "never before heard story" of beloved Bumblebee.

Otherwise, there is still no information on the seventh in the franchise.

The website noticed the huge blockbuster films whose schedules the next "Transformers" films share with, namely "Wonder Woman" in 2018 and "Godzilla 2" in 2019.

Another rumored reappearance would be that of Megan Fox, who plays Mikaela from the first two of the "Transformers" films.

The actress was reportedly already in professional terms with the director despite an argument they had around the filming of "Revenge of the Fallen." This was substantialized by Fox being part of both of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" films. Bay is a producer in that film franchise.

"The two appear to be on friendly working terms, and with Bay remaining on as executive producer for Transformers 5, there's a chance Fox could stray back," Cinema Blend wrote.
