'Doctor Who's' Jenna Coleman And 'Game Of Thrones' Emilia Clarke Melt Hearts In 'Me Before You' Trailer
"Doctor Who" alum Jenna Coleman and "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke are among the stars that appear in the trailer for "Me Before You."
According to Radio Times, the upcoming feature is originally an adaptation of Jojo Moyes' bestseller of the same name. It features Sam Claflin as Will, a successful young man who is permanently paralyzed after surviving a horrific motorcycle crash.
The plot develops as he falls in love with Louisa (Clarke), a caregiver assigned to him as his condition worsens.
Louisa has a rough start with Will as he wants to end his life by assisted suicide. Louisa eventually convinces Will that life is worth living and they set off on several adventures together.
Coleman, best known as Clara Oswald in "Doctor Who," plays Louisa's younger sister Katrina who supports her throughout the entire story.
As seen in the trailer, her role in the upcoming film will certainly surprise fans as it is a stark contrast from her adrenaline-filled character Clara from the long-running sci-fi series.
The "Doctor Who" actress isn't the only TV star that will appear in the film. Clarke's "Game of Thrones" co-star Charles Dance is set to play Will's father while "Downton Abbey's" Bernard Clark is set to play Louisa's father.
The film also includes Steven Peacocke ("Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"), Janet McTeer ("The Woman In Black"), Matthew Lewis ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows") and Vanessa Kirby ("Jupiter Ascending").
"Me Before You" is directed by Thea Sharrock from a screenplay by Jojo Moyes, Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter. Sharrock is best known for her work with Danielle Radcliffe's "Equus" and Tom Hiddleston's "The Hollow Crown," BBC America reported.
The movie releases in US theaters on June 3, 2016.
