With all the speculations surfacing on the internet about the upcoming "Cowboy Bebop" live-action movie, the latest spoilers claim that Benedict Cumberbatch may grab the lead role in the movie.

Reddit claimed that the "Sherlock" star has the perfect persona to portray the lead character in the live-action movie adaptation of the anime series.

"I think that JGL could pull off the personality, but he's not really tall & lanky, like Spike, while Cumberbatch shows it well, he's 6'0" tall, which is a little taller than Levitt's 5'9"," claimed user Rogue from Reddit forum.

Earlier, there were reports that Keanu Reeves has been considered as the probable lead actor in the "Cowboy Bebop" live-action movie.

Nonetheless, Movie News Guide reported that the 51-year-old actor has dropped the idea to work in the anime adaptation as he considers himself old for Spike's role in the live-action movie.

"Cowboy Bebop does not look like it is going to happen with me in it," said Keanu. "The script that was written was great and amazing, but it would cost like half a billion dollars to make it."

Furthermore, Reeves also commented that he is busy with some other movie projects, which has also affected his decision to act in the live action Hollywood movie.

Additionally, the speculations for the upcoming "Cowboy Bebop" live-action movie suggest that the storyline would be based on the past of Spike Spiegel and his crime partners, Jet Black, Fay Valentine and Edward.

Also, there are rumors that the movie will focus on Spiegel's fight against the antagonist, Vicious, claimed Anime News Network.

Moreover, Movie Pilot claimed that few actors in addition to Benedict Cumberbatch have surfaced for the lead role after Keanu Reeves dropped out from the live-action film like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Franco and Bradley Cooper.

There are speculations that "Cowboy Bebop" live-action movie will get a release date after the successful release of another live-action film "Ghost in the Shell" in 2017 with Scarlett Johansson in the lead role.
