Pregnant Jena Malone Gets Politically Involved On Instagram; Guess Who She's Voting For?
"Hunger Games" actress, Jena Malone is not only pregnant, she's also politically-involved! On Monday, the mom-to-be posted a baby bump on Instagram and shared why she's rooting for a particular candidate in the upcoming presidential elections.
"I vote for ideologies," Jena Malone wrote on Instagram. "I don't vote for personalities, genders, shirt colors, pretty speeches or last names."
"We," Malone wrote, including a baby emoticon, "are voting for #berniesanders because his political beliefs represent the kind of political revolution I have only been able to dream about in past elections."
The "Hunger Games" star went on to explain that Sanders was a "slightly more left-wing fellow traveler" of former President Bill Clinton, husband of Hillary Clinton.
"This is not a contest to see who will lead the democrats, it's a contest to see what kind of party the democrats are going to be in the coming decades, what ideology and what interests, causes, and issues the Democratic Party will prioritize," she wrote.
Showing off the side of her personality that's reflective of her "Hunger Games" character named Johanna Mason, Jena Malone ended her post with the hashtags #idontvotewithmyvagina #ivotewithmywholemotherf&$!ngbody" to emphasize that she is voting for Sanders instead of Hillary Clinton.
Late last month, Jena Malone surprised fans with her Instagram photos as she showed off her pregnant belly.
"Womb to womb / To beating wing / I climbed out of the eternal / And into the shape of me," Jena Malone wrote on Instagram on Jan. 20. "Some words I wrote years ago when I was thinking about my own mother. And the woman she was when she had me. And the woman I was reaching to become."
