Legend Of Korra' To Continue In Comic Series; Creator Bryan Koneitzko Reveals Korra, Asami Are Real

There are no new significant updates on "Legend of Korra" series, but fans have become hopeful as Korra's journey is to unfold in a new comic book series instead.

At the end of the season 4 after Korra and Asami went forward to the Spirit World, co-creator of the series revealed that the friendship of these two characters have developed to more intimate and romantic relationship and thus, that's what fans may expect to be focused on the comics.

According to a report, the "Legend of Korra" comic book format will be published by Dark Horse. It is the same publisher of the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" comic version.

Reports said that the comic book will be available in three volumes. According to the creators, the story will start from the time when Asami and Korra return from the Spirit World, giving much details about all of the favorite characters in the series.

Koneitzko revealed a little about this "Korra-Asami" relationship in his Tumblr post where he did an art about the two with the description "Turtle-duck Date Night". The co-creator said in his post that the art was his piece for the "Legend of Korra/ Avatar: The Last Airbender Tribute Exhibition" that was held at Gallery Nucleus last March.

Following the art post, the co-creator explained in a different Tumblr post about Korra and Asami's relationship.

"I've become skeptical of the unwritten rule that just because a boy and girl appear in the same feature, a romance must ensue. Rather, I want to portray a slightly different relationship, one where the two mutually inspire each other to live - if I'm able to, then perhaps I'll be closer to portraying a true expression of love," said Konietzko.

This post has created much buzz on the web as for some fans, it was a bit shocking as the two started out as adversaries competing in a love triangle with Mako.

However, in the post Konietzko explained that there is no denial that Korra and Asami fell in love with each other.

Konietzko added that he was not the only one who made Korra and Asami real, but even Michael Dante DiMartino, his co-creator, pursued the idea.

Fans will have to wait until the "Legend of Korra" comic series will be released in order to find out the real deal behind the said love team.
