The latest "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" trailer, which was aired at Sunday's Super Bowl 50, has finally revealed one if its villains in the form of alien Krang.

"Paramount Pictures purchased a coveted slot during Super Bowl 50 to promote its new film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, a sequel to 2014'sTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," E! Online said.

The highly anticipated trailer for the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" was earlier teased in a 30-second teaser clip released over the weekend. It happened few days before the Super Bowl 50 kicked off last Sunday, Screen Rant said.

The teaser for the full-length trailer hinted on an alien invasion, which is not far-fetched considering Krang is himself an alien.

Screenrant wrote that "the exact plot details are still under wraps, but the teaser trailer hints at a lot of action to come."

"We can see the four turtles standing together and a quick flash of Jones opening his trunk to reveal his trademark hockey gear. The only words spoken are by April O'Neil, who breathlessly asks 'What is that?' as she watches a giant vortex opening up over New York City," the site earlier described the trailer.

The way the latest trailer played out, the turtles team up with new ally Casey Jones and April O'Neal to defeat the invading aliens.

Screenrant said that the first "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 2014 performed well in the box office, despite negative reactions from the audience.

Meanwhile, Cinema Blend and Deadline criticized the new trailer because of its deviation from the beloved 1980s cartoon series.

The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" trailer was viewed at least 19 million times last Sunday, but has close to 10,000 dislikes.
