Lea Michele And Boyfriend Matthew Paetz Engagement A Hoax? Star Flirts With Jonathan Groff?
"Scream Queens" actress Lea Michele and boyfriend Matthew Paetz are undeniably smitten with each other. So much so, that recent reports claim that the couple is getting engaged.
Last week, reports claiming that the two got secretly engaged, cropped up. The report, which originated from OK Magazine, alleged that they have been talking about the alleged engagement for quite some time.
However, the engagement rumors were shot down by Gossip Cop, claiming that they spoke to Lea Michele's rep about the "false" reports.
"While it's true that Michele and Paetz have been together for a little more than a year and a half and are happy together, there is no engagement news to reveal right now," the website read. "Gossip Cop checked in with Michele's rep, who exclusively tells us the "Glee" star is not engaged, and the tabloid's report is entirely 'false.'"
Following the Lea Michele and boyfriend Matthew Paetz engagement rumors, the "Scream Queens" actress shared a cute photo with her "BFF" and Broadway actor Jonathan Groff, as they cuddled on what appears to be a couch.
"My best friend... Forever," Lea Michele wrote on Instagram.
This isn't the first time Michele and Groff posted a "cuddly" selfie together. Last week, the pair had a "sleepover" after Groff's Broadway show got cancelled for the day due to the snow storm.
"Look who I found in NYC #JGroff #SnowDay," Michele captioned the photo with, both of their faces half-hidden under white sheets.
The two briefly co-starred together in the hit TV series, "Glee," where the actress met her former boyfriend, the late Cory Monteith.
Recently, the actress shared that if Cory Monteith were alive today, he would have "loved" her current boyfriend, Matthew Paetz.
"[Matthew] is very respectful towards the person that I was with, and that, again, is something I love so much about him," she said. "I really know that Cory would love him too."
Sometime after Monteith's death, Lea Michele announced that she already has a boyfriend, who is Matthew Paetz.
