Vanessa Hudgens Praised Online For 'Grease Live 'Performance After Father's Death
The show must go on as Vanessa Hudgens put on her curly dark wig, bold red lipstick and performed as Betty Rizzo for Fox's TV musical revival "Grease:Live" just hours after her father died due to cancer.
Despite the current situation, Hudgens continued to show professionalism during the show.
"You would never know that Hudgens was dealing with a personal tragedy. In between takes, the former Disney darling stayed in character as the sharp-tongued Rizzo, and she was all smiles even when the cameras weren't rolling," as reported by ETonline.
Hours before the show, the 27-year-old actress posted in her official Twitter account "I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers."

As she performed her rendition of "There Are Worse Things I could Do", many people including Vanessa Hudgens' boyfriend Austin Butler and best friend Ashley Tisdale praised her for her outstanding performance.
The former "High School Musical" star belted out with sheer emotion the last part of the song that says "but to cry in front of you, That's the worst thing I could do."
Her co-star Mario Lopez tweeted,"Imagine you had a day like Vanessa Hudgens and doing that. Wow. What a strong woman. My new hero."
Neil Patrick Harris, Andy Cohen and Derek Hough are among others who gushed about the show and shared it through their Twitter and Instagram's official account.
In the final moments of the show, Hudgens' father was honored through credits that read "In loving memory of Greg Hudgens."
Meanwhile, friends and colleagues of "Grease Live" actress,Vanessa Hudgens namely Monique Coleman, Ashley Benson, Jamie Chung, Demi Lovato, Sarah Hylan, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jussie Smollet, Aly and AJ Michalka, Laura Benanti and Jaime Primak showed their support and deepest condolences through their tweets to actress' official twitter account.
Two days after the show, Vanessa Hudgens thanked her fans who supported all the way making it a success for "Gease Live" on Sunday.
