Han Solo Alive? Harrison Ford To Appear In 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'

Many fans are scouring the net for spoilers "Star Wars: Episode VIII" and those who can't let go of Han Solo are looking for clues that could feed their hope that he is alive and that Harrison Ford will be back on the upcoming movie.

Theories that Harrison Ford will return in "Star Wars: Episode VIII" as Han Solo were sparked by the IMDB page of the upcoming movie. The actor is still listed in the cast and crew page of the movie, triggering numerous speculations.

Paul Tassi of Forbes previously collated a list of "Star Wars" fan theories relating to the next movie, and one of these theories involve Han Solo escaping death.

"Han ends up in a trash compactor with Captain Phasma ... It could be possible that the 'garbage' area of the station is below where Han fell (as that's where that sort of thing might be), and this fan theory is an elaborate side-story about how an injured Han and Phasma work together to escape the planet before it explodes," the article said.

Despite Harrison Ford's name being on the IMDB cast and crew list of the upcoming movie, there are speculations that Han Solo could indeed be dead and that Ford's appearance in Episode VIII could be nothing more than flashbacks.

"Perhaps Han Solo will appear in flashbacks, Force memories, or holograms," Bustle reported. "There are any number of inventive ways to keep Harrison Ford in the cast without actually bringing his character back to life."

"Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda all returned as 'Force ghosts' in Return of the Jedi, and though Han Solo has never indicated Force-sensitivity, he might make an appearance in that style," the report added.

"Star Wars" producers are keeping their lips sealed about rumors that Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in Episode VIII.
