Apple Reports Quarterly Earnings

Rumors suggest that the iPhone 7 Plus would be hosting two rear end cameras.

While iPhone devices are already been boasting about their outstanding camera specs among its rivals, there's this rumor about this iPhone model that it is likely to sport some special camera feature.

The next-generation model, currently known as iPhone 7 Plus, which is likely to be launched about eight months from now, is rumored to include two rear-facing cameras, according to MacRumors.

KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had issued a research note that predicts two different variants of the iPhone 7 Plus to be under development. It revealed that one of the variants would feature a dual-camera design while the other one will have a single iSight rear-facing camera.

"Although two rear cameras may seem unnecessary, the cameras would work together to create one photo. The additional camera could also be used to potentially capture 3D video and allow for better software tricks," wrote Samantha Murphy Kelly of Mashable.

"Apple's next-generation, jumbo-size iPhone is expected to come in a dual-camera configuration - with optical image stabilization and zoom - achieved through technology procured from last year's LinX acquisition, according to well-connected KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo," published Apple Insider.

The LinX algorithm is known for its unique capacity to achieve superior dual-camera applications like Optical Zoom stimulation with a compact camera module.

The rumored iPhone 7 Plus will be acquiring LinX Imaging technology for its dual-lens camera system. Apple has taken advantage of its last year's purchase of Linx Imaging, an Israeli camera Technology Company.

Apple Inc had purchased LinX in 2015 for $20 million, cited The Wall Street Journal.

The LinX technology offers many improvements to the iPhone model's specs like multiple sensors for a smaller size, which will probably eliminate the requirement for a protruding lens.

The lenses are also likely to include better sensitivity to light and might fetch improved image quality under low-lit environments.

Apple has always been headlining improvements to its camera technology in its range of flagship devices and has always boasted about its superior photo capturing abilities that has been the company's market-leading speciality.
