‘Furious 8’ Cast Vin Diesel Confirms Trilogy Finale; Sean Bosworth Rumored To Reprise Role
"Fast and Furious 7" star Vin Diesel confirms that "Furious 8" will be a trilogy that would conclude the film franchise, and rumor has it that "Tokyo Drift" protagonist Sean Boswell will be reprising his role in the upcoming film, according to Yahoo News.
Diesel has been dropping explosive insider information about the films he will be starring on recently, starting with his confirmation of the third "xXx" film happening soon via his official Instagram account.
But wait, there's more.
Recently, the actor is said to have posted a teaser on his official Facebook page, saying that "Furious 8" will not be that "One Last Ride" for the rest of the cast, hinting that it will be a trilogy which would then end the film franchise.
On his post, he wrote, "I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga."
However, according to Parent Herald, there are still no plans in motion for this supposed trilogy as a director has yet to be announced for "Furious 8." Diesel has previously promised to make announcements should they find the right person for the job.
In related news, there are also rumors that the actor himself want to direct "Furious 8," as reported by IGN.
On the other hand, another rumor has emerged with regard to the "Furious 8" cast and it looks like "Tokyo Drift" star Sean Boswell is coming back to reprise his role as Lucas Black, according to a report on SlashFilm via The Bitbag.
This rumor stems from how the actual meeting of Boswell's character and that of Diesel's happened in "Furious 7," and there is allegedly a possibility that the character will be returning in "Furious 8" to take revenge on Han's killer - Jason Statham's character.
This information has yet to be confirmed.
"Furious 8" is scheduled for release on April 14, 2017, as reported on Entertainment Weekly.
