Mel Gibson And 24-year-old Girlfriend Rosalind Ross Caught Smooching In Australia

Mel Gibson and 24-year-old girlfriend Rosalind Ross are at it again. Recent reports claim that the two were spotted arriving together at The Darling Hotel in Sydney.

According to Daily Mail, the 60-year-old actor-turned-director is in Australia filming his latest blockbuster "Hacksaw Ridge," a World War II drama. However, it isn't all work for the "Lethal Weapon" actor as he was seen locking lips with his new girlfriend on a water-side stroll over the weekend.

Their appearance comes after Ross' close friend and former vaulting partner Devon Maitozo told the publication that she has grown sick of the "negative attention" that stems from her controversial relationship with the "Braveheart" star, adding that it has "not been very pleasant at all."

"Sensationalising her because of her relationships is not what she's looking for," he told the publication. "She would probably enjoy it if it was about her and her career instead of her being the girlfriend of a celebrity but it's not and so she'd like to keep her life private."

"She's just a young girl and wants to get on with her life without all the attention," he added.

The two are believed to have met last year, when Ross applied for a position at Gibson's production company Icon.

According to Radar Online, their romance began after Ross visited the actor's 500-acre ranch in Costa Rica.

"They started their romantic getaway in Costa Rica, hiding out in Playa Barrigona, where he owns a 500-acre tropical sanctuary in the middle of the jungle, before heading to Panama," an insider told the news outlet. It's clear the two of them are really happy together."

Rosalind Ross, an accomplished equestrian vaulter, reportedly trying to make it in Hollywood as a scriptwriter. She's currently enrolled in a writing program in Emerson College in Boston  and writes for a TV show titled "Matador."
