The source noted that Steinfeld, who plays the role of Emily Junk, makes sense that she would take over the reigns from Anna Kendrick as audiences are already acquainted with her character and that the young actress seems like the perfect choice.

Moreover, the writer further opined that fans might actually want to see more of her character's flirtatious relationship with Benji.
In recent news, Anna Kendrick has also confirmed her return to "Pitch Perfect 3" as she reprises her renowned character in the franchise, Seventeen confirmed.
The source noted that she gave the affirmed news to fans when the acclaimed actress went on to visit GMA.
"It's happening," Kendrick explained. "It's so exciting. I'm really excited about the third one. We are going to make the third one first thing next year."
