Mitsubishi Sends-off 1,600 Numbered Lancer Evo Final Edition Models
After being dubbed by car experts as the first ever authentic four-door sports car, Mitsubishi's Lancer Evo will receive 1,600 limited-production Final Edition models.
According to Crave Online, the Final Edition models will be the "most powerful" and "technologically advanced" Lancer Evo Mitsubishi has ever built. Adding, "The power plant is a 303 horsepower, turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter MIVEC DOHC 16-valve inline 4 cylinder engine."
Bearing with the latest Mitsubishi Motors MIVEC variable valve-timing system, Lancer Evo Final Edition's engine was forged from a reinforced cast-aluminum block and an aluminum cylinder head.
For a refined weight distribution, the stainless steel exhaust manifold and turbocharger of the limited edition car will be placed at the rear of the transversely mounted engine so that it sits next to the firewall.
According to Mitsubishi, "Lancer Evolution Final Edition turns its back on automatic gear box for the feeble and comes standard with a short-throw, five-speed manual transmission. Add all that together and the official fuel economy numbers add up to 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway."
To cap along Lancer Evo's identity, the Final Edition models keep up with its supremely tight and responsive machine design by using new Mitsubishi Super All-Wheel Control and High-Tech All-Wheel-Drive. For added features, it has Evo adds lightweight, two-piece Brembo brake rotors in front, with Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach springs at its four corners.
The Super All Wheel Control system in Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Final Edition sports car includes remarkable high-tech components to convey a superb level of traction and agility: Active Yaw Control (AYC), Active Center Differential (ACD), Active Stability Control (ASC) and Sport Anti-lock Braking (ABS).
All Mitsubishi Lancer Evo offers a Final Edition Badge Black painted aluminum roof, gloss black center bumper and hood air outlet, dark chrome painted Enkei alloy wheels, dark chrome front grille surround and auto on/off bi-xenon High Intensity Discharge headlights with leveling control.
To serve farewell to the Lancer Evo lineup, Mitsubishi made sure that the Final Edition models has a distinct visual feature to mark it as the last of its kind.
