Hayden Christensen Loses ‘Star Wars’ Gig? Partner Rachel Bilson Gushes On Actor, Baby Briar
Hayden Christen has been reported to be in line to reprise his role as Darth Vader in "Star Wars Episode VIII," but new rumors claimed that the 34-year-old actor might not be going to a galaxy far, far away after all.
"Darth Vader is reportedly returning to a galaxy far, far away," Hollywood Life previously reported. "Vader will reportedly appear in an upcoming Star Wars movie and the person behind the iconic mask will allegedly be the former Anakin Skywalker, Hayden Christensen, 34!"
Cinema Blend reported that the producers of "Star Wars" are thinking of giving more focus on the young characters.
"While production was meant to get underway very soon, it looks like things may be slightly delayed as the script may be getting one final rewrite before it's screen ready," it said. The article added, "The purpose of the rewrite, interestingly, is reportedly to reduce two new character roles to be a smaller part of Star Wars: Episode VIII."
"The Force Awakens" introduced Finn, Rey and Poe Dameron, played by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac, respectively, but fans don't know much about their backstory.
"It seems that the decision has been made that introducing major new parts to the new movie would simply get in the way of the leads that we just met," it added.
Does that mean Hayden Christensen will be cut out in "Star Wars Episode VIII?"
It's still not clear at this point. In fact, the first rumor about Hayden Christensen appearing in "Star Wars Episode VIII" was not even confirmed in the first place.
Meanwhile, Hayden Christensen has got something going for him. He's got a beautiful partner in Rachel Bilson, who loves him very much, and they have an adorable baby together.
When the "Hart of Dixie" star was asked who her best kiss is, she replied, "Obviously Hayden. I could say my daughter and those are pretty priceless as well."
The couple is trying to maintain their privacy amid all the craziness of Hollywood.
"I guess (we) never leave the house. I don't know. It's important to us to keep it private," she added. "It's such a personal thing and it's your own offspring. You try to do everything right. We really don't do much."
