Could there be anything better for video gamers and fans of the acclaimed title "H1Z1" than to hear that their favorite game could be released as a free-to-play on the PS4?

Moreover, fans were reported to have been more in-tuned to the recent bug fixes the game has been receiving.

Rumors that the game "H1Z1" would be coming out as a free-to-play for PS4 came out soon after Sony Online Entertaiment President John Smeley's message via Reddit was reposted over at All Games Beta.

"I wanted to tell you about an exciting new free-to-play game we've had under wraps here at SOE for some time," the message started off. "It's called H1Z1. It's a massively multiplayer game in which players fight for survival in a world where death is the only sure thing..."

According to the source, the message also noted what they intended their goal to be with regard to the game on PS4 and PC.

"Our goal here is to provide emergent gameplay that will allow our players to make the world their own the way they want to," the Reddit repost stated. "One of the best things about H1Z1 being an MMO is the fact that with a lot of people playing, we're able to see all different kinds of gameplay."

"If you prefer a quiet life as a farmer raising crops... we're going to make sure your zombie apocalypse fantasy is complete. If you're like me and you want nothing more than to kill everything that moves, by all means see how that goes. It's going to be a blast!"

In addition, "H1Z1" has also been receiving some much need bug fixes on both PS4 and PC platforms.

"Servers will be coming down tomorrow morning at 3AM PST for approximately 2 hour for general maintenance," the developers informed via Twitter.

"We are also temporarily removing Molotov Cocktails from Battle Royale as we work on a fix for a related crash bug," the developers tweeted.

As such, fans can't only expect more upcoming bug fixes and bigger things from the titular video game "H1Z1" and its developer on both the PS4 and PC.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported #H1Z1 during this past year. Lots of awesome things on the horizon!" the developers posted on Twitter.
