‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Star Eddie Redmayne Gets Competitive With ‘Harry Potter’ Daniel Radcliff? Actor Revealed He Was Turned Down For ‘HP’ Role

Eddie Redmayne, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" lead star, apparently admitted that he desired to be part of the cast of the"Harry Potter" series, but he was snubbed by the producers back then.

The Oscar-winning actor revealed to Us Magazine that he wished to play one of the red-headed member of the Weasley family in the hit franchise

"For years I was always like, in the Harry Potter films, there was a whole ginger family, and I never got an audition. And I was like, 'Come on, it's outrageous! So I was desperate. Every actor in England was in the Harry Potter films, but I never got the call. Now I'm having my moment," he said.

Redmayne was then eventually picked to be the lead star of the Harry Potter spinoff movie, "Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them," which leads for a reporter from CinemaBlend to ask the actor if he consulted the "Harry Potter" superstar Daniel Radcliff about the new installment, Redmayne said he has not.

"Do you know? I haven't, actually. I haven't. I know Dan a wee bit, and I ... at some point, I should focus on making this [movie] right first, and live up to what he'd done already," he said.

On the other hand, Daniel Radcliffe just stated in Pottermore that he was envy about the wardrobe of Newt Scamander, Eddie Redmayne's character in the movie.

'I got jeans and a zip top for 10 years and you've got a great coat already?," Radcliffe said.

Though the two actors haven't meet yet, many has expected that "Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them" would be as great as every "Harry Potter" franchise was.

"Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them" will been seen in the big screen this November.
