David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson Ditch 'The X-files' Reboot Due To Unfair Pay? Couple Sticks Together?
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson's return as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in "The X-files" for its 2016 reboot is gaining much attention from fans these past few weeks.
However, there are rumors that the talent fee agreement for the project seem rather unfair. According to rumors, Anderson was purportedly offered half of what producers offered Duchovny for the project.
Are David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson ditching "The X-files" reboot 2016 because of the pay offer?
Not quite. According to a report, though Anderson revealed that she was initially offered a lower talent fee, in the end, she was paid as much as Duchovny was.
"There's no point in dealing with my side [first] because, as usual, they come to me with half of what they want to offer David,"Anderson reportedly told The Hollywood Reporter.
However, the article noted: "sources tell THR that Anderson and Duchovny received equal pay for the event series."
Vanity Fair reported that the 2016 reboot of the famed paranormal investigation series is comprised of six episodes.
Amid buzz over "The X-files" reboot 2016, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have also been the center of various entertainment news reports because of their purported romance.
"Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny made their own return when the met up for a secret beach getaway January 16 for the weekend," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.
"We already know that these two have had their fair share of love and war in the past. It appears that they are bringing back the love," the article added.
The report went on to quote a makeup artist on set who claimed that "feelings came flooding back" for Anderson, and that people on the set could "feel the chemistry in the air... you'd have to be have be blind not to notice."
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are yet to address rumors that they're back together, perhaps not wanting to divert fans' attention from "The X-files" 2016 reboot to their personal lives.
