"Batman V Superman" is just a few months away and news on the film have been plentiful. The latest update reveals that "The Walking Dead" actress Lauren Cohan has been added to the cast to play a crucial role in the movie.

Although the report states that she will only make a brief cameo appearance in the film, Screen Rant speculates that Warner Bros. could use the actress in other DC films where Batman is involved, including the potential "Batman" solo movie. The publication alleges that "Batman V Superman" might feature flashbacks to Bruce Wayne's childhood to build his backstory, the way "Man of Steel" did for Clark Kent.
Coincidentally, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who will join Cohan in "The Walking Dead's" return season, has been cast in the superhero film to play Thomas Wayne, the husband of Cohan's character.
In the comic books, Bruce Wayne's parents are murdered in by a criminal known as Joe Chill, leaving the orphaned Bruce to the care of their family butler, Alfred J. Pennyworth.
At the time of the news' writing, it's unclear if Snyder will base his portrayals of Bruce's parents from the original canon.
The movie will introduce Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman.
