Android's Skype For Business Release New Features; App Engineer Release Statement!

Android device owners who utilize Microsoft's Skype for Business App on their devices can now avail a set of new productivity and collaboration features to 'be more productive while on the go'.
Microsoft has acquired UC Commander Product Suite from Event Zero; a provider of Skype for Business online's management software. The company announced that this taking over would allow it to expand and improve the in-built management tools and that Event Zero would continue to offer its services.
"We plan to extend the platform to complement partner solutions and integrate their monitoring, reporting and analytics capabilities with Skype for Business Online management tools," said Zig Serafin, corporate vice president of Engineering for the app, according to Top Tech News.
Using the New Skype for Business App, Android users can now view their connections that are available online to send an email, an instant text message or make a phone call. It makes communication easier and faster.
This is done by scheduling calls by adding them to their calendars. This makes it a streamlined proess which was previously done using Outlook. And now Skype does this via its update which lets a user select the person they want to call and tap on the menu to select 'schedule a call' option that creates an event and sends an outlook invite.
It also enables easy access to files. Files can now be shared effectively, i.e., when a user receives a document from a client during a Skype private chat or group conversation, they just have to tap the file to open it on an android powered device.
In case they had the respective Office App file installed on the device, it will instantly open the file upon tapping on it. Else, skype will respond to that tap and give instructions on how to install a suitable app.
In addition to this, Android users with Lync 2013 app will automatically be synced with this app based on their device settings.
Skype also invites users' Feedback about the app. And future upgrades are also expected.
"We will continue to bring new features to our mobile apps with regular updates. Look out for integration with Microsoft Intune, which simplifies application management and corporate data protection and lets your users access the app from their mobile devices even more securely," Praveen Maloo, product manager of the App mentioned in his Blog.
The updated Skype for business for android is available for download from the google play store of android devices.
