'Outlander' Stars Catriona Balfe And Sam Heughan Dating? Relationship Rumors Answered
The stars of "Outlander" season 2 Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan have been working on the newest sequel recently, and it seems like dating rumors have also been arising.
Fans of the "Outlander" love team have been inclined with how the romance between Claire Randall, played by Caitriona Balfe, and Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan, goes on. In fact, many televiewers have reportedly become obsessed with the idea that the co-stars of the said show could be in a relationship in real life.
Rumors have been circulating that Balfe and Heughan have been dating secretly as they want to keep their relationship private. But the stars put an end to the dating rumors by answering people's question if they are seeing each other.
"We're not together," Balfe said when asked if the dating reports were true. "It's funny. We've always said from the get go that we're incredibly great friends. And to have that friendship and that closeness and to be able to get along as we do on set, it's great that we're able to get along that well. We're not together. I'm sorry to break people's hearts."
Heughan also set the record straight and responded to their relationship rumors.
"Yeah, we could try," Heughan answered. "No, I think it's strange, isn't it? Because I think people buy into the show and us saying it's not real, they feel like they've been duped. It's like, 'You acted it. You lied to us!' And I'm like, 'Well, sorry!'," He added.
According to reports, Balfe does not want to ruin her work relationship with the actor as it is one of their weapons to keep people inclined with the story and to be able to give an effective show.
"Outlander" is an American-British historical TV drama show which is based on the "Outlander" novels written by Diana Gabaldon.
"Outlander" season 2 will be premiering between March and April this year on Starz.
