NBA Trade Rumors 2016: Cavs To Trade Kevin Love? Cleveland Unhappy With His Low Stats
Kevin Love's NBA fans are worried that his future in Cleveland Cavaliers could be bleak. Amid his low stats this NBA season, there are rumors that the Cavs could consider giving him up for a trade this 2016.
Last Monday, Golden State Warriors slayed the Cavs despite their homecourt advantage. Kevin Love finished with three points during the game, fueling NBA trade rumors because of his numbers.
"The problem for the Cavaliers as a whole, and for Love specifically, is that he's caught in the middle of a pair of logjams on the roster. The first, and most obvious, is the hierarchy on offense." Tim Bontemps wrote in an article for Washington Post.
"He's relegated to third in the pecking order, lagging behind both James and Irving."
Cavaliers Coach David Blatt previously admitted that Kevin Love has to do better this 2016.
"I think we have to get him involved more," Blatt said last Friday, as quoted by Washington Post. "[Then] I think that he'll be right back to where he was. He's been playing great basketball since day one here."
Amid these NBA trade rumors, some believe that Cavs would not give up Kevin Love, at least not this 2016.
"There's zero chance the Cavaliers trade him this season," Brett Pollakoff wrote in his article for Fox Sports. "Dealing Love would essentially be an admission that this is a lost season, because it would be almost impossible to get anything close to equal value in return, or to find a reasonable trade where the salaries would match."
"There's also the prospect of trying to integrate new teammates into a locker room with championship aspirations, which is always tricky, but especially so with half of the regular season already in the books," the article added.
The Cavs are yet to confirm nor deny NBA trade rumors and speculations that they are bidding goodbye to Kevin Love this 2016.
