'The Vampire Diaries' Star Ian Somerhalder's Marriage Thrives; Nina Dobrev's Ex Snubs Rumors

"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed have been proving doubters wrong as their marriage stayed intact amid all the divorce rumors.

But there's a new round of rumors going around about Nina Dobrev returning to "The Vampire Diaries" and how that strained Ian Somerhalder's marriage with Nikkie Reed.

"Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will soon be back together for 'The Vampire Diaries,'" claimed Yibada. "After declining many a times return to the series, Nina Dobrev's presence in the upcoming season has been confirmed. Apparently, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed's relationship is strained due to former lovers working together again."

Another alleged nagging reason that could lead to the divorce was Ian Somerhalder's insistence to have a family with Nikki Reed right away.

"Ian reportedly is ready to have a family with Nikki however the latter is not. Since she wants to focus on her acting career for the time being, she is a bit skeptical of having kids at this point," a report from Movie News Guide claimed.

Added Health Aim, "It is also reported that Reed is pressuring Somerhalder to ace more careers instead of settling down for a family. Aside from 'The Vampire Diaries,' he has 3 other projects ongoing. But it seems like Reed is not contented with it."

Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed reportedly bumped into Nina Dobrev at the Golden Globes 2016. The former "The Vampire Diaries" actress was alone as she didn't bring along boyfriend Austin Stowell at the red carpet event.

There are no details whether or not the encounter got awkward, but Nina Dobrev has always maintained that she's friends with ex, Ian Somerhalder, and she even gave her support on his wedding with wife Nikki Reed in the summer of last year.

Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed got engaged late January after dating for six months and tied the knot late April. Their relationship allegedly caused a rift between the 37-year-old actor and ex Nina Dobrev on the set of "The Vampire Diaries" which led to her exit.
