Tesla Model X Release Date Announced; Details Released As Fans Share Positive Reviews!

Tesla's latest electric showpiece, the Model X, began its sale late last year with only 208 units delivered. Now, a new release date for new units has been reported to be confirmed.

According to the company, they put quality above everything. "Model X deliveries are in line with the very early stages of our Model X production ramp as we prioritize quality above all else," a statement read, as cited by Los Angeles Times.

Since missing its first shipping date in 2013, the car has been beset by repeated delays, raising investor ire over the launch of Model S in 2012. The launch of model X has also raised tensions among those who paid in advance and now feel spurned for supporting the popular automaker's next release date.

Elon Musk, Tesla's chief has called Model X "the hardest car to build in the world" with features set to boast the space-age wizardy that is famous for  'falcon wings' doors that open up instead of out. Lighting fast acceleration and an air-filtering "bioweapon defense mode" that he said could be of more help "if there's ever an apocalyptic scenario of some kind", cited The Washington Post.

In other news, the company has announced last November that it had stopped outsourcing the production of its custom-made Model X seats after problems with its supplier, and would begin its in-house production.

Tesla Model X's Website says the new reservations will have an estimated delivery in the latter half of 2016. They still have no release date set for deliveries yet. However, early buyers were told that the company would try to finish it by Dec. 31.
