'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Truth About Return Of Reverse Flash Explained By EP
"The Flash" season 2 has returned but things are only starting to heat up. Reportedly, tensions will rise when a familiar face resurfaces.
It has been teased that Reverse-Flash will return. Although his stand and physical appearances remain the same, he's is not who Barry Allen and his crew fought last season.
"This Reverse-Flash is not exactly the Reverse-Flash that we saw disintegrate at the end of the year. It's a Reverse-Flash from an earlier timeline," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly.
"It's not the Earth-Two Reverse-Flash, it's the Reverse-Flash. That is, hands down, one of our best episodes."
Aside from Reverse-Flash, another thing STAR Labs people will be busy with are the doppelgangers of their friends.
The STAR Labs team will travel to Earth-2 and there, things will only get crazier for Barry Allen and his friends.
Recent "The Flash" season 2 spoilers from EW revealed the parallel earth will feature villain versions of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell). However, it is not the only crazy thing the Scarlet Speedster will encounter.
"There is such crazy, off-the-chart, wackadoo stuff," Kreisberg told TVLine last week when asked to discuss the return of a dead character.
He added that this "The Flash" season 2 return episode is "more than just Caitlin and Ronnie's evil doppelgangers."
In another interview, the EP said Barry will bring the battle to Zoom's territory. Their first encounter was a disaster for Central City's hero and the next will be an exciting one.
"It's really exciting. I'll tease that it might not take place on our Earth," he said.
"The Flash" season 2 returns on Jan. 26 for episode 11 titled "The Reverse Flash Returns."
The synopsis for the said episode reads, "When Cisco gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne, Barry and the team don't believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee confirms that the Reverse Flash is back."
"Meanwhile, Iris and Francine share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally."
