The Conor McGregor - Rafael Dos Anjos fight will headline UFC 197 which will take place on March 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Long before it was made official, the two have engaged in trash talking and threw insults toward each other. The barb trade has now even included their trainers.
"Rafael is really happy to 'welcome' him in a brutal way to the lightweight division," said Rafael Cordeiro, Dos Anjos' trainer, according to report by Sherdog.
"Listen, McGregor, if you want to come to the lightweight division, this is my division," said Rafael Dos Anjos as per ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Although McGregor appears to be the underdog in the match, UFC Pres. Dana White believes in him. He even revealed that the Irish fighter is eyeing other weight classes in the next few years.
"Conor has said that he would like to win the 155-pound belt and fight four times a year and defend both belts," White said per a report by MMAFighting.com.
"If anybody can do it, Conor McGregor can. This guy has pretty done everything he said he would do. I'm interested."
