'Dark Matter' Season 2 Update: Creator Hinted Six's Allegiance; Release Date To Happen In Summer?
"Dark Matter" initially ended its previous episode with the Galactic Authority controlling over the Raza's numerical crew and detaining everybody but Six, portrayed by Roger Cross. His betrayal will cause his fellow amnesiacs behind bars as soon as season 2 is set with its official release date.
Six was always believed to be in alliance with the Galactic Authority and that he had never lost his memory. In spite of that, show creator Joseph Mallozzi hinted that this was not the case of Six in the upcoming season 2 as soon as release date begins.
"The fact that he passed the lie detector test in Episode 103 makes it pretty clear that Six did not have his memory the whole time," Mallozzi explained on his personal blog site when asked if Six was lying the whole time or if his memory had suddenly triggered back.
"In fact, we can't be sure that his memories were ever recovered over the course of season one."
Mallozzi emphasized that Six was never in allegiance, at least to his knowledge, with the Galactic Authority. Thus, it doesn't mean that Six was with the authority prior to his memory lost. Also, the series creator confirmed that Six never had his memory during the run of "Dark Matter" season 1.
In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter , Mallozzi also said that "the theory of Six being with the Galactic Authority was very strong." He also hinted that the clues are to be found in episode 8 of the series.
On the other hand, while the majority of the first and second episode will take place inside the Hyperion 8 prison, the latter episodes will show flashbacks to the Raza.
"Today marked our final day on Episode 202 and we were back on the Raza for a little trip down memory lane via some carefully orchestrated flashbacks," series creator Joseph Mallozzi announced on Thursday.
"It was home sweet home...for as long as it lasted."
What would this flashback tell us? Fans theorized that Six is in league with the Galactic Authority and that he may even be a high ranking official.
"Dark Matter" season 2 returns to Syfy in a summer release date.
