Jakarta Explosion 2016: ISIS Claimed Responsible; More Than 6 Found Dead!

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the 2016 explosion in Jakarta.
According to a recent report, the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for a bomb and gun attack in Jakarta, Indonesia.
According to Reuters, "a group of soldiers of the caliphate in Indonesia targeted a gathering from the crusader alliance that fights the Islamic State in Jakarta", Cited CNBC.
The 2016 explosion happened in the center of Jakarta with at least seven people who were found to be dead.
The first of the six explosions, some of which were believed to be suicide attacks, were reported by local media at around 11 A.M. Local Time (11.P.M. New York Time).
The police announced on Twitter that the explosion occurred in front of the Sarinah mall. It was reported that a police post outside the mall was blown up. The area was surrounded by luxury hotels and a few embassies and malls.
Consultancy Stratfor's report on Thursday said "The attack was likely timed to hit busy lunchtime traffic and was centered on the convergence of Wahid Hasyim street and Medan Merdeka, close to the city's high security area. The location is a short drive from the U.S. embassy and other government offices"
One of those blasts happened in a Starbucks Café and security forces were found entering the building. The café reported that one customer was injured and that they planned to shut down all of their Jakarta branches until further notice.
Another Blasting sound was heard in front of Sarinah, but, it was proved to that of a bursting tire.
The previous experience in which the country suffered such a military attack was during the Twin suicide bombings at the JW Marriot and Ritz Carlton hotels in the year 2009.
Steve Wilford, Asia-Pacific director for Global Risk Analysis at Consultancy Control Risks released a statement.
"We haven't seen anything like this in Indonesia - a sort of international focused attack- for a number of years now," he said. "There are at least 500 Indonesians known to be in the Levant (the area of the Middle East that includes Syria). It's very unclear how many have actually come back."
Luhut Binsar (Indonesia's Coordinating minister of politics, legal and security affairs) said This is suicide bombing, one was entering Starbucks and then three others tried to attack with thrown bombs. Those (attackers) were shot" by police", Cited USAToday
After the Jakarta Explosion, 2016, the country has been on high alert after authorities said they had foiled a plot by Islamic militants to attck foreigners.
