Ryan Adams released his own version of Taylor Swift's "1989" cover on Monday. And, according to People, the internet was the first to cheer for Mandy Moore's ex-husband.

In an appearance in "Beats 1," a Zane Lowe Apple Music radio show, on Monday afternoon, Adams revealed the motive behind his unusual musical gig. He said:

"A lot of those songs [in 1989] are pretty flawless, they're so well written, they're so clean."

Adams and singer Mandy Moore were divorced after marriage of nearly 6 years. Adams shared the difficult event in life was what motivated him to explore an unorthodox path at a certain aspect in his career. As such, he was inspired to make his own version of songs in T-Swift's hot new album, "1989."

According to Rolling Stone, Adams was depressed last Christmas after it had not been long he and Moore split. Not too long after, Adams said:

"I got back to L.A., it was around Christmas time,"

"I was totally bummed out and I bought a four-track cassette recorder. And I was like, 'I'm going to make 1989 like Nebraska style. Bruce Springsteen Nebraska. Just acoustic guitar, bunch of spring reverb, just me."

Adams put a touch of additional strength in the weakness Swift showed in some of her song's lyrics off "1989."

As reported in Telegraph UK:

Adams put a touch of humor and sarcasm when he sang the lyrics off Swift's "1989." While he was at it at Swift's "1989" hits, Adams hummed some of the beat of "I'm On Fire" by Bruce Springsteen.

For instance, Adams sang the words "Shake It Off" without any hurt in his emotions. This reaction was in contrary from how Swift dissed men in her songs in "1989" and previous albums. Swift's other albums are her self-titled debut, "Taylor Swift," "Fearless, "Speak Now, and "Red."
