'Samurai Jack' Update: Graphic Violence Not For Kids? Reboot Set To Drop This Year

Not long after Adult Swim announced that a reboot of the hit animated television series "Samurai Jack" has been confirmed, there have been several spoilers making rounds in the social media about what might be in store in a new storyline when the reboot finally takes place.

As noted in Entertainment Weekly, "The cartoon about a time-displaced samurai will return in 2016. According to Adult Swim, the new show is currently in production at Cartoon Network Studios in Los Angeles, once again under the direction of Tartakovsky."

According to last year's spoilers, "Samurai Jack" reboot would be darker and more violent than the last one. In line to this, reports claimed that the much-awaited return of "Samurai Jack" on TV could be out with content and graphic violence that may not be good for kids to watch.

Moreover, it was also said that though the upcoming "Samurai Jack" is a cartoon series which most kids would love to watch, the content of violence might only be well-handled with much older kids and a parent's supervision must be observed at the very least when watching.

As for the reboot's exact release, Adult Swim has not yet disclosed any exact date for the premiere date but several reports have claimed that it will be dropped later this year.

Since the series debuted in 2001, it has since become a cult favorite until it ended at the fourth season with 52 episodes. "Samurai Jack" compiled two Emmy awards during its run before it was cut off in 2004.

While fans are on the lookout for the big release, they are also throwing guesses about what might possibly come into view as the "Samurai Jack" reboot takes place, with some asking if Jack will succeed in defeating the demonic Aku.  Could Samurai Jack finally win against Aku this time?
