Google I/O Conference 2016 Dates Announced By CEO Sundar Pichai; Different Venue Confirmed!

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced the dates and venue for the company's annual I/O developer's conference 2016. The venue for this year is different from that of the previous years' (traditionally been held at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco).
The schedule has been set for May 18th to 20th to be held at Mountain View's own Shoreline Ampitheatre.
Pichai previously teased about the event in a previous tweet. "I/O'16 coming to neighborhood where it all started 10 yrs ago: Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, May 18-20. More details soon," he said, cited The Verge.
Moreso, the CEO also took to his Google Plus account to announce the event.
"To celebrate our 10th anniversary of developer gatherings, we'll be hosting I/O in our backyard at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA from May 18th - 20th. We'll have 3 full days together to dive deep into developer content, code labs, and more", he said, cited by IBNLive.
More details about the Google I/O conference 2016, pertaining to ticket info and other such details will be announced soon. It is believed that the company typically uses the event to unveil most of its Android update every year, which is named after desserts and sweet treats. In 2015, it was Android M (Android 6.0 Marshmallow).
The event brings together thousands of developers with sound technical content, focused on building the next generation of web, smartphones and enterprise apps with Google and open web technologies like Android, Google Chrome, Google Web Tookkit, Google ApIs, App Engine, etc.
The event is likely to be live-streamed for people worldwide. "If you can't make it in person, you can still join us via I/O Live and through an I/O Extended event in your local community," says Pichai.
Hopefully, the keynote will contain some much awaited improvements in the android platform, improved tablet software and side-by-side multitasking. Lack of these has greatly limited the appeal of otherwise impressive hardware like the Pixel C. There is also a rumor that Google Plans to bring Android and Chrome OS closer in line. Although the company has denied it, fans are anticipating an announcement to happen during the upcoming 2016 I/O conference.
