Spice Girls Reunion Tour Expected In 2016! Mel B On Getting The Group Back: ‘We’re Definitely In Talks’
It seems like music fans are in for a treat this 2016 as more news surfaced around regarding another big reunion.
This time, it is being planned by the iconic all-girl pop group Spice Girls, who are reported to be reuniting this year for a tour.
It was reported that the key ingredient in this widely anticipated 2016 reunion by the all-female group has been Spice Girl member, Mel B, who's trying to round up the group for their 20th anniversary this year and does not want to risk "jinxing" the plan, TV3 stated.
"We're definitely in talks, but as to what actually happens, we'll see," she said in an interview. ''We're trying to figure it out right now. I don't want to jinx myself, but I think it would be great if we got up onstage together. I'm kind of working on that."
She even stated that she couldn't be more proud of them for staying friends after all these years despite being former bandmates.
''I think it's great we're still all friends 20 years on, and it just goes to show that we really are the poster children for girl power," she stated in an interview with Heat Magazine. ''We're five women from different walks of life and we've worked together, we support each other, we respect each other and we love each other. That's what women should do.''
She neither confirmed nor denied the 2016 Spice Girls reunion.
In another interview, she reiterated the same statements she made by saying that the group is indeed in "talks" as to whether they will reunite again to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
"I can say there have been talks," she elaborated in an interview on "This Morning" as reported by Reveal. "There you go. There are talks. I think that is fair and honest."
It was also rumored that the 2016 Spice Girls reunion might coincide with a tour with The BackStreet Boys.
It was reported that Nick Carter did not outright dismiss the idea that a reunion and a tour by both groups "would be the last hurrah" for the two sensational '90s pop group, according to Celebeat.
