A picture of Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg and his daughter has been uploaded on his page. It has gone viral on facebook spurring an online debate about vaccines.

The Facebook post shared by its CEO on his own page, showed the image of his daughter Maxima Zuckerberg probably clicked at a pediatrician's office with a Caption ""Doctor's visit - time for vaccines!"

This post has received various comments including those anti-vaxxers' (those who oppose vaccinating their children fearing that the injections would cause risks of neurological disorders). But this single facebook picture could help protect a lot of children. Some of them, Cited by FoxNews includes:

"Injecting newborns and infants with disease and neurotoxins is disgusting science that injures millions every year, Autism, encephalitis, brain damage, auto immune disorders early onset & late, asthma, allergies, add/ADHD, bipolar disorder, SPD, pandas, Tourette's, All of these neuro disease in the past 35 years," one commenter wrote. "Do your homework. The only thing these children have in common is the VACCINE SCHEDULE! That's it", and, "I am sorry to see you unnecessarily putting your kid at risk by responding to faux science and propaganda."

Fears about immunization causing injury among children with healthy immune system may stem from a report published in 1998 in the Lancet that suggested a probable link between vaccines and autism. The lead author of that study had allegedly altered the medical histories of his study participants to falsify data and has since then been stripped of his medical license in England.

With more than 48 million users, Mark Zuckerberg has to his credit that when it was time for his daughter Max to receive her dose of immunization, he made that little bit of childcare news as public as possible.

Apart from the recent facebook post of his daughter's picture after her vaccination, Mark Zuckerberg has already made an important contribution to the promotion of vaccination by recommending the book on Immunity and quoting "Vaccination is an important and timely topic", Cited TIME, "The science is completely clear: vaccinations work and are important for the health of everyone in our community."
