Just recently, K-pop icon and Girls' Generation (aka SNSD) member Taeyeon went on her personal social media to share her disdain regarding the animal abuse issue on the set of the historical KBS K-drama "The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won."

Previously on the 21st of January, KBS released an apology after a horse died a week after a scene for the historical K-drama "The King of Tears, Lee Bang Won."

Notably, to shoot a scene where a character fell from a horse, a live horse was pulled to the ground using a rope tied around its legs, and the viewers (including Girls' Generation's Taeyeon) of the K-drama brought up animal abuse and the amount of peril that was risked.

Soon after, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon shared a screenshot of the complaint that Korea Animal Rights Advocates (KARA) filed against the K-drama on her Instagram Stories. The K-pop star then wrote, "The video was extremely painful to watch and brought tears to my eyes. It makes me angry. How can they film like that in this day and age.. It's a horrifying thing for both the people and the animals. Was there someone who ran to check the horse's state right away? Who on earth came up with this idea for this unbelievable method of filming?"

Adding to this, due to the animal abuse controversy, "The King Of Tears, Lee Bang Won," has been suspended.

This was confirmed when the Korean Animal Welfare Association (KAWA), posted a video of the K-drama's set that proved the horse had indeed been purposefully tripped.

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and viewers have every right to be upset due to the unnecessary dangers that were brought upon the actor and the horse in "The King Of Tears, Lee Bang Won."
