‘The Penthouse' Star Han Ji Hyeon To Lead SBS Upcoming Drama 'Cheer Up'

"The Penthouse" actress Han Ji Hyeon is cast to take on the lead role of the upcoming drama "Cheer Up."

Han Ji Hyeon received an offer to appear on the SBS new drama "Cheer Up" that is written by Cha Hae Won and directed by Han Tae Seop.

"Cheer Up" is a mystery campus romantic comedy set in the background of a collapsing university cheering squad that once had splendid history. It is a story about romance and youth.

Han Ji Hyeon takes on the role of the main character, Do Hae Yi. As a new member of the university cheering squad, she is pretty and has a remarkably strange charm. Do Hae Yi is a high school student who is chosen as the top 1% in terms of appearance, but not in reality. She goes through many changes in the university cheering squad, which she entered in hopes of being helpful in the real world.

The rising actress made her breakthrough role in the drama "The Penthouse." Han Ji Hyeon took on the role of Joo Kyung, the half of the iconic twins, in the drama "The Penthouse" and showed stable acting skills over three seasons. Han Ji Hyeon, who showed an extraordinary presence even in working with senior actors in a strong villainous role, has emerged as an actor in the spotlight.
