2021 was a special year for ITZY and aespa fans as ITZY and aespa finally had a highly-awaited interaction in this year's Dream Concert.

Notably, ITZY's Ryujin previously shared that the members of ITZY ordered too much watermelon juice, and they ended up giving their extra drinks to the members of aespa during the concert.

But fans found out that the members of ITZY purposefully bought extra watermelon juice for aespa. Both aespa and ITZY talked about their adorable interaction. It was evident to fans that both ITZY and aespa are fans of one another.

But it seems as though ITZY, most notably Ryujin, has further grown her relationship with aespa as in a recent live stream, she shared that she is now close friends with three of the members of aespa; Winter, Karina, and Giselle.

In the live broadcast, ITZY's Ryujin shared that she still needs to be closer with aespa's NingNing, but that she has gone on to befriend aespa even more since the watermelon juice incident at the aforementioned Dream Concert.

MIDZYs and MYs are now looking forward to a closer friendship between the members of aespa and ITZY.

ITZY and aespa's most recent interaction was when aespa won first place on "Music Core" with "Savage." In the music show, ITZY was seen celebrating with aespa as the SM Entertainment girl group started their encore performance.
