‘Graceful Family’ Star Im Soo Hyang To Star Alongside So Ji Sub For K-drama ‘Doctor Lawyer’

Confirmed, "Graceful Family" actress Im Soo Hyang is So Ji Sub's female lead for upcoming K-drama "Doctor Lawyer."

On the 25th of November, MBC's "Doctor Lawyer" announced the news of Im Soo Hyang's casting.

"Doctor Lawyer" is the first K-drama to feature both medical and law fields. The story will revolve around a genius surgeon who has become a lawyer specializing in medical litigation and a prosecutor in charge of medical crimes who has lost her only family and lover in surgery. It is a heartwarming and exhilarating medical suspense court drama that punishes people who believe they can control the rule of law and comforts the victims of unfairness.

Leading the cast is "Oh My Venus" actor So Ji Sub, who is making his highly anticipated comeback after four years. So Ji Sub will be giving life to the character of Han Yi Han, a genius medical surgeon. Despite his skills, Han Yi Han lost his position as a top surgeon after committing a mishap in one of his surgeries. He returns as a medical lawyer.

On the other hand, "My ID is Gangnam Beauty" actress Im Soo Hyang takes on the role of Geun Seok Yeong, a prosecutor in the medical crime division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office. She has a strong belief that criminals should face punishment rather than forgiveness and leniency.

The attention is focused on what kind of acting transformation Im Soo Hyang will show through Geum Seok Young, who is an attractive character with both skills and personality.

Im Soo Hyang had proven her skills in dramas like "IRIS 2," "Lovers in Bloom," "My ID is Gangnam Beauty," "Graceful Family," and "When I Was the Most Beautiful." Aside from "Doctor Lawyer," Im Soo Hyang is also slated to appear on the upcoming k-drama "From Today We Are." 

"Doctor Lawyer" is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2022.
