In less than 100 days, we will say hello to 2022 and a new year means a new set of rookie K-Pop idol groups. We have compiled a list of the expected groups from numerous agencies that are slated to debut next year.
HYBE Labels
It has been reported that Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music is working on debuting a new girl group. Rumors has it that former IZ*ONE members Sakura and Chaewon are in talks to lead the upcoming HYBE girl group. Big Hit as well as Pledis Entertainment is also reportedly woking to launch new boy groups. The girl group version of the popular Mnet show "I-LAND" is also int he works.
JYP Entertainment
The home of legendary girl groups is working on releasing another monster rookie idol group. JYP has been teasing fans with a Blind Package and not long after pre-orders began, the agency dropped performance covers showcasing the talented members of their upcoming K-pop girl group. Under the current monicker JYPn, the agency has revealed the following trainees that are slated for debut: Jinni, Sullyoon, Jiwoo, and Kyujin.
Additionally, JYP has also confirmed to be debuting a new boy group. The members have been chosen through the show "LOUD." The confirmed members for JYP's upcoming boy group are Yoonmin, Lee Gye Hun, Amaru, Keiju, and Lee Dong Hyeon.
YG Entertainment
According to reports, BLACKPINK's agency is currently working to launch a new girl group by next year. YG Entertainment's project girl group is currently known as Baby Monsters or BaeMon.
Starship Entertainment
After the disbandment of IZ*ONE, two famous member Jang Won Young and Ahn Yujin went back as trainees to their agency Starship Entertainment. It has been reported since that Starship Entertainment is preparing to launch a new girl group centered on the two former IZ*ONE members.
