Britney Spears recently announced her engagement to long-time boyfriend Sam Asghari through an Instagram video. Fans of the pop start were very excited and happy about the news, as this could be a sign that the singer is gaining independence from her father who currently controls all of Britney's assets. Now, the 'Piece of Me' singer has deactivated her Instagram account, which has worried many of Britney's fans and friends.

In a report by E! there is nothing to worry about Britney deactivating her social media, according to a source close to the star, she is just taking a break from everything. Apparently, the Princess of Pop is in a very happy place right now and believes that taking a break from social media will help her appreciate the major happenings in her life.

"It was her decision to deactivate her Instagram account," the source shares. "She is just taking a break from it because she's in a great place legally and personally and is focusing on other things for the time being, which is a great thing."

Fans were worried that Britney Spears was forced to leave Instagram due to the ongoing battle with her father regarding her Conservatorship. The legal fight for her conservatorship has been a well-documented battle between Britney and her father. Recently, it was revealed that James Spears has plans to give Britney her full independence back.

The 'Free Britney' movement has been an ongoing online movement that sees to her getting her independence back. The pop star has no power over her finances as well as being rumored to be forced into taking medications that she does not need.

During Britney Spears's famous meltdown, it was deemed that she was not mentally capable to handle all of her assets as well as her two kids. Currently, the pop Princess is looking better and has returned to performing.
