‘So I Married an Anti-Fan’ Actor Choi Tae Joon In Talks To Star In New Rom-Com K-Drama

Reports from various Korean news sites point out that "So I Married an Anti-Fan" star Choi Tae Joon is in talks to star in the upcoming drama "That Guy's Voice."

Such reports were confirmed by Choi Tae Joon's agency Studio Santa Claus Entertainment saying, "Choi Tae Joon received an offer to appear in the drama 'That Guy's Voice' and is currently considering it."

Should Choi Tae Joon decides to accept the offer to appear in the drama "That Guy's Voice," he will take on the role of an airline co-pilot named Baek Tae Hwa. The character of Baek Ta Hwa is best described as a handsome young man from a good background.

With his charming looks and sweet personality, Baek Tae Hwa is often the cause of women's tears even without him meaning to. 

Baek Ta Hwa owns a prickly cat whom he entrusts to a pet hotel whenever he flies. When his trusted pet hotel closes, his fate intertwines with a convenience store part-timer looking for a full-time job.

"That Guy's Voice" will be a fantasy rom-com drama about a handsome, young pilot and a convenience store part-timer he hires to babysit his cat. It will be written by Kim Kyung Hee. Meanwhile, no other details about the schedule and casting of the drama are confirmed as of the writing of this article.

If the project pushes through, the fantasy rom-com drama will be Choi Tae Joon's comeback drama since being discharged from the military last May 2021.

Previously, the 30-year-old actor starred in the drama "So I Married an Anti-fan" alongside Girls' Generation Sooyoung. Choi Tae Joon filmed the drama "So I Married an Anti-fan" prior to his official enlistment. 

Choi Tae Joon secured his first main role for the 2013 drama "Ugly Alert." Since then, he has starred in numerous K-dramas including "Mother's Garden," "All About My Mom," "109 Strange Things," "Suspicious Partner," and "The Undateables."
