"When I was part of KARA, I only lived for my performances. I practiced our performances again and again, without eating and sleeping enough. I got an IV when I needed energy," Han Seungyeon shared.

As per the Kara member, due to the outfits for their performances, she had developed a very bad temperament. Seungyeon said that she could not eat what she wanted to eat. She also constantly worried about the way she looked on television.

Seungyeon added, "That was especially so during 'Mister' promotions. As 'Mister' outfit showed my belly, I only ate like a quarter of a Snickers bar a day. During 'Mamma Mia' promotions, I ate like 10 rice papers a week. I became so unhealthy."

Regardless of how unhealthy she was, Seungyeon said that people still called her pretty. "Since so many people said that I looked good, it felt strange. I might have looked good, but everything was going wrong inside my body. I kept wondering if this really was the right thing to do," the former Kara member noted.

But now, Seungyeon said that since she no longer belongs there, she assured fans that she is now a lot healthier. After Seungyeon began her acting career, she said that she felt like she now has become more honest about how she feels.

As per Seungyeon, in the past, she cared too much about what others thought of her. Thus, she was unable to get angry. For her, she had to be seen as kind to everyone at all times. This means she was not herself then.
