Taecyeon To Lead Upcoming Historical tvN Drama Alongside Kim Hye Yoon

After his successful portrayal of Babel Group's Chairman Jang Jun Woo for the hit drama "Vincenzo," Taecyeon is yet again slated for another small-screen comeback.

The 2PM member is confirmed to lead the upcoming historical-comedy K-drama "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi." Directed by Yoo Jong Sun, the "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" will revolve around the story of undercover royal secret agents who were tasked to expose corruption and misdeeds among government officials. The drama is written by Lee Jae Yoon.

2PM's Taecyeon is cast to take on the role of Ra Yi Eon who is the youngest inspector among royal agents. He is a sixth-class civil servant who was offered a high position due to his sharp intelligence. Taecyeon's Ra Yi Eon has a fondness for steamed dumplings.

Meanwhile, starring alongside Taecyeon is "Extraordinary You" actress Kim Hye Yoon who will portray the role of Kim Yo Ji. Kim Hye Yoon's character is a passionate woman of Joseon. She is a realist who is ahead of her time. Kim Jo Yi's ultimate dream is for women to have the right of getting a divorce.

Last to join the main cast ensemble of the "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" is Lee Jae Kyoon. According to reports, Lee Jae Kyoon will take on the role of Park Tae Seo. Additionally, the upcoming tvN drama will also cast Jung Soon Won as Cha Mal Jong, Lee Sang Hee as Kwang Soon, and Choi Tae Hwan As Park Do Soo.

tvN's "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi" is set to premiere on November 1. Fans can watch the historical-comedy drama every Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 PM KST.
