As most BLINKs would know, BLACKPINK recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. To commemorate this, the YG Entertainment K-pop girl group held a live broadcast for BLINKs and netizens. In the live broadcast, BLACKPINK told stories, talked to BLINKs, and many more!

More specifically, the BLACKPINK members talked about the choreography from their 2018 hit "DDU-DU DDU-DU." As per BLACKPINK's Jennie, the 'finger gun dance' is her favorite part of the choreography, she went on to add that the track's iconic move was originally quite different.

"I remember when the "DDU DU DDU DU" choreography wasn't the gun move. Before the final choreography came out, it used to be something like this," BLACKPINK's Jennie revealed as she showed the previous steps.

To the delight of BLINKs and netizens, all the members of BLACKPINK seemed to remember the original choreography as they joined Jennie. The original dance move, although also quite amazing, does not truly hit the same level of iconic as the finger gun.

BLACKPINK's Jisoo then talked about the exact day the BLACKPINK members were doing the shoot for the music video was the exact day that the choreography was replaced. Jisoo also added that the BLACKPINK members changed themselves!

BLACKPINK's Jisoo noted, "On the day of the music video shoot, we felt that this part should be changed to the 'gun' move. I think we actually did film with the previous dance move and monitored it on the screen."

Initially, though, BLACKPINK's Jisoo was worried whether it was okay for them to have a different dance move.

"You're right because we thought we would get in trouble if we changed it without permission. So we filmed that dance move and the final one too," BLACKPINK's Jisoo added.

It seems as though BLACKPINK changing their dance was truly a good choice as BLINKs and netizens are now associating the finger gun dance with their hit song "DDU DU DDU DU."
