LOONA To Join May K-Pop Girl Group Comeback Mania, Netizens React

#STANLOONA is right around the corner as the girl group is preparing for a splashing comeback.

The "So What" singer is brewing a new album and a report from NEWSPIM confirmed that LOONA has finished shooting for the jacket of their upcoming release. LOONA's upcoming new album makes fans excited as it will be their first comeback in seven months. After LOONA's dive into a more mature and dark concept last year, fans are looking forward to the concept that Haseul, Vivi, Yves, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Chuu, Heejin, Hyunjin, Go Won, Choerry, Olivia Hye, and Yeojin will be doing.

LOONA has been a force to be reckoned with in K-Pop, especially with their growing international fan base. Earlier this year, LOONA debuted on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart with their 2020 English release "Star." The chart ranks songs by computing the number of broadcasts per week from over 160 US radio stations that broadcast major music programs.

The 12 girls from Blockberry Creative became the second K-Pop girl group to achieve this after BLACKPINK's collaboration with Selena Gomez for "Ice Cream." The song was a B-side included in LOONA's third extended play "[12:00]," and it was a gift for their international fans. 

With LOONA's recent achievement in the international music scene, hopes are high for the next breakout K-Pop star. This upcoming comeback will not just determine LOONA's position in the Western market but also be expected to grow its fanbase in South Korea.
