EXO Kai Proves Global Power After This Recent Achievement

Earlier this year, EXO's main dancer, Kai, released a capsule collection with luxury fashion brand Gucci which commemorated the idol's extreme fondness of teddy bears. With this collaboration, Kai made history as the first-ever South Korean idol and celebrity to have collaborated with the luxury clothing brand.

Taking inspiration from EXO Kai's love for teddy bears, the collection features a selection of men's and women's ready-to-wear and accessories.

Not long after the official release of his collection with Gucci, Kai's special blue bear sweater sold out. The first opening for Kai's Gucci collection online for Japan sold out almost immediately.

Meanwhile, on April 10th, the luxury brand announced that #KAIxGUCCI is going to Bangkok, Thailand. To celebrate this, Gucci tapped Seoul-based contemporary artist Im Jibin to designed large-scale "Bear Balloon" installations in some of Bangkok's most iconic spots. In addition, Esquire Singapore included Kai's photoshoot with Esquire Korea in their April release to commemorate the official launch of "KAI x GUCCI" collection in Singapore.

EXO Kai Proves Global Power

The long lines and craze over Kai's Gucci collection are insane and just proves that EXO Kai is a global powerhouse not just in music but also in fashion.

On April 17th, ION Orchard Gucci store in Singapore opened its doors for the official launch of Kai's collection and it didn't take a while before the items sold out one by one as people already started queuing for it at 4 in the morning. Fans updated that as early as 10:35 AM on the 17th, the cardholder, wallet, small bag, and Twillie in Kai's collection are already sold out.

People are crazy over Kai's Gucci collection, but the brand is yet to announce where they will be taking the collection next. EXO Kai  has been Gucci's global ambassador for more than two years now.
