‘Guess Who?’: ITZY Becomes The First-Ever Korean Idol Group Achieve This

Midzy, ITZY world domination is here! The JYP Entertainment girl group has become the first-ever Korean idol group to be chosen as ambassadors for a global beauty brand.

On March 31st, it was officially unveiled that Maybelline New York's global models for this season in the popular South Korean idol group ITZY that is composed of Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna. The five-membered girl group will represent the global brand along with model Gigi Hadid.

"We expect that the different charms of the five members who are full of powerful energy and confidence will create a synergy effect with Maybelline New York," Maybelline New York CEO Trisha Aiyagari expressed.

The JYP Entertainment girl group has been making waves since their explosive debut with "'Dalla Dalla" in 2019, proving that they are different and set to take over the world with their charms and talent. Since their debut, ITZY has established themselves as the next generation top K-Pop girl group, having released four mini-albums, an 11-city showcase tour, numerous music show crowns, and rookie awards.

Earlier this year, JYP's ITZY released their first-ever English album, "Not Shy," which contains all the English versions of their four title tracks such as "Dalla Dalla," "ICY," "WANNABE," and "Not Shy." Moreover, they have also shared their journey in learning English and showed their competent English skills during their album showcase. Not only that, but ITZY has also appeared in a series of hello82 videos where they had fun with different kids on the show.

Recently, ITZY announced that they would be dropping their 5th release since debut this April. "Guess Who" will be arriving on April 30th and fans are excited to hear a new bop from the JYP Entertainment girl group. It has been eight months since the group's last Korean comeback and surely Midzys are excited!
