YG Entertainment’s TREASURE To Be A Part Of Fan Community Platform ‘Weverse’

Debuting on the 7th of August 2020, TREASURE was created from the survival show; "YG Treasure BOX." This means that essentially, the K-pop boy group is under one of the big three K-pop agencies, YG Entertainment.

TREASURE consists of twelve members, and the members include Choi Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Mashiho, Yoon Jaehyuk, Asahi, Bang Yedam, Haruto, Doyoung, Park Jeongwoo, and So Junghwan, and recently, it has been confirmed that TREASURE is joining an online fan community where they can interact directly with "Treasure Makers," the fandom name of TREASURE.

Recently, it has been confirmed that YG Entertainment's K-pop boy group, TREASURE, is becoming a part of Weverse, a Korean mobile app and web platform.

As of writing this article, on the 28th of March, Weverse releases a tweet that confirms that TREASURE is becoming a part of the Weverse K-pop roster. TREASURE will be having a spot on the worldwide community platform. 

Aside from TREASURE, Weverse also features other premiere K-pop groups such as TXT, Alexander 23, BTS, GFRIEND, ENHYPEN, SEVENTEEN, CL, NU'EST, Sunmi, P1Harmony, Weeekly, MIRAE, Henry, New Hope Club, Gracie Abrams, Dreamcatcher, and of course, BTS.

More specifically, "Weverse" was created by beNX and HYBE (formerly Big Hit Entertainment). The application is a place where fans can directly interact with the K-pop idols they idolize. Moreover, the application also features a shop where they can buy merchandise, a place where they can stream videos, and many more.

YG Entertainment's TREASURE will be the first K-pop group under the company to be a part of Weverse. The application will launch with TREASURE's community on the 29th of March.

This is expected to increase the interaction of TREASURE with their fans. Hopefully, this, in turn, will increase their fanbase both locally in South Korea and internationally.
