aespa, Secret Number, TREASURE or ENHYPEN: Who will win “Rookie of the Year” at 30th SMA
The 30th Seoul Music Awards (SMA) has just released the nominees for its eight main categories: Main Award, Rookie Award, OST Award, R&B/Hip Hop Award, Ballad Award, Trot Award, Popularity Award, and K-Wave Award.
Aside from the main categories, SMA will have special recognitions such as Legend Grand Prize and Legend Rookie Prize.
The Korean award-giving body has also opened its gates for online fan voting to decide the winners who will shine at the 30th High1 Seoul Music Awards. The voting started on December 11 and will end on January 24, 2021, where fans can vote for their favorite K-Pop artist 10 times per day for every category.
As the K-wave's representative music award, the 30th High1 Seoul Music Awards gives recognition to the most popular singers in the year 2020 and will be held this upcoming January 31, 2021.
The criteria for the final winners of Main, Rookie, OST, Trot, and R&B/Hip Hop Awards will be based on the votes of the judging panel and SMA organizing committee (40%), album and song sales (30% - according to Hanteo Chart) and mobile votes (30%).
