Japchae

You can never go wrong with noodles. Korea has a long history of making great noodle dishes unique from its neighboring Asian countries.

The nice thing about making Korean noodle dishes is that they are effortless to make, and the ingredients are easy to get in your backyard (if you're planting some vegetables) or in your local supermarket. Here are some of our highly recommended dishes that you can make at home.

Easy Stir-Fried Noodles and Vegetables (Japchae)

To make your own japchae at home, you only need sweet potato starch noodles and stir fry them along with the vegetables that you want. Add some pork belly (pork shoulder), chicken, or beef, then cut them into strips. Add in some soy sauce, mushroom, toasted sesame oil, brown or white sugar, and you got yourself an excellent heartwarming meal to have at any time of day.

Kimchi Sujebi

This is kimchi hand-torn noodle soup. What makes it unique from the rest of the other noodle dishes out there is that the noodles' thickness and size will depend on your liking (you make the dough for the noodles.) Also, kimchi is already a trendy dish in Korea. If you're craving noodles and kimchi together, then this is just a suitable dish to have. It is best that your Kimchi Sujebi would have anchovy, beef, chicken, or vegetable stock. It depends on what you like.

Cold Kimchi Noodle Soup (Kimchimari-guksu)

Want some cold noodles with a spicy twist? Then cold kimchi noodle soup for you. To better taste, more broth is recommended. Usually, this dish is made during the summer months. However, this dish can be prepared and enjoyed at any time if you're craving some cold and spicy noodles.

So these are just the three dishes that you can try making at home. We will be recommending more Korean dishes soon to give more variety to your Korean food cravings.
