The upcoming South Korean film entitled "Seo Bok" is an action and science fiction movie which has a plot revolving around a former agent named Ki Heon, played by Gong Yoo, who has been given the mission to protect and care for Seo Bok, played by Park Bo-gum, the first-ever successfully cloned human.
The South Korean movie was directed by Lee Yong-ju, known for his two other films, "Living Death" and "Architecture 101."
The South Korean film, after multiple release delays due to regulations for the COVID-19 pandemic, is finally slated for a release date. The movie is confirmed to be ready for its release this April 15. "Seo Bok" will not only be on the big screens but will also be on multiple streaming platforms such as the OTT platform and TVing.
It was announced that the decision to release in theatres alongside online platforms was due to the fact that they want fans to enjoy the movie "Seo Bok" from their homes if they deem traveling to cinemas kinda risky.
As per reports from CJ E&M's film business division called Sports Chosun, in a situation where consumers' perspectives and needs for content are rapidly changing due to COVID-19, the film "Seo Bok" has decided as well that it should be out for Teabing so that everyone can have a chances to experience the movie without fear.
The decision was made, according to the people in charge, due to the strict economic statutes of movie theatres all over the world.
Additionally, the release of "Seo Bok'' is actor Park Bo-gum's second media release prior to his military enlistment. "Record of Youth," an immensely popular K-drama series, was the first, as Park Bo-gum starred alongside "Parasite" actress, Park So-dam.
Fans of both Park Bo-gum and Gong Yoo are truly excited for the release of the film.
